Jimi Hendrix is the man!! Did you know that he made it big in England, before he was excepted as a great musician in the United States? Did you know that he played the guitar left handed? It was a right handed guitar that he turned up side down and restrung. Another thing most people don't realize is that most of his music was played very clean. Even though he was teh master of feed back and fuzz and distortion, most of his song are played very clean.

How do you get to Carnegie Hall?

Practice, practice, practice!!!!

that is correct sir, guitars are in fact very cool. You will learn just exactly how cool they can be as time goes on. Practice can consist of many things, if you are playing a song you love and hours seem like minutes you are practicing. Remember you are on a journey that will last your entire life, if you so choose. It is fun to get wrapped up in the toys, but always remember it is the art that really matters. Some of the greatest artists the world has ever seen had much lesser instruments than the ones you have in your possession right now. I love my guitar collection and I love to see it grow, but that is the point I am at in my life right now. Just play your guitar Joel, just to play. Sometimes study, sometimes practice, but the important one is to PLAY. I do not know the actual origin of the term to play music, but I like to think there is a reason it is called play, and not work. I believe you have come a long way in a short amount of time and I am so happy to be a part of it. So rock on you guitar player, because that's what you are, a guitar player!!

So, you think you are getting a new guitar, eh? Well, maybe, but you have to stick with your lessons and practice, and you have to show me that you are becoming more responsible (cleaning up after yourself, less fighting with your sister, more cooperation with walks, you know, that stuff), AND YOU HAVE TO TEACH ME SOME OF WHAT YOU ARE LEARNING AT YOUR GUITAR LESSONS. It would be nice if you didn't make fun of my sloooooooooowwwwww cord changes, too.
That cream-colored Strat was really cool, too.
Can't wait to see you after blogging class today.

Hello Guitar Guy,
It seems that you have changed your avatar, so you will need to update your image credit. Please make sure that the image you have used is a copyright friendly image. I can help you if you are not sure.

Did you get your new guitar? I know someone else who is obsessed with guitars. His name is Chris. I will have to introduce you two...hahaha.
See you this afternoon!
